Wiimm's position on banning:
If people playing in a private room and knows about cheats and accept them, then it is ok. For example my tester team use cheats if testing new tracks.
Basically, if a player wants to cheat in whatever matter they chose, they may only do so in a private room where cheating is condoned.
How to make a report
Every Report Must Include the following information when the cheater is encountered:
- Mii name of the player(s)
- FC (friend code) used by the player(s)
- Time of incident
- Description of what the player did
- Video of the incident (Full race is required for less blatant accusations)
- Screen shot of the room at or near the time of the incident
- Code dumps
Obtain any FCs from this page. Simply locate the room you are in and find the Mii name that corresponds the player(s). Please note that Mii names may not appear exactly as they may on Mario Kart Wii. If the room or player is no longer visible on the main page for whatever reason,
- Open a room on the license that you encountered the cheater on
- Find your Mii name and FC on the page linked above
- Click the FC and continue to browse through your room history until your locate that room with the cheater
Any reports made will help the server moderators keep cheating to a minimum. Even if you believe you've already encountered the cheater prior, reporting the incident will only get him/her banned once again. If you believe you've been wrongly accused of cheating, you may discuss the situation on the original thread linked above. Please do not ask to be a part of the moderation team; recruitment is performed rarely and is strictly invitational.
